CTS Thompson Handcuffs & Restraints Tri-Max chain style handcuffs are exceptionally pick and shim resistant.
Due to the split shackle construction, the strength of the handcuff is increased because the gap between the dual shackles rides through a rigid "monorail" retaining bar. A double five-tooth pawl engages the independently floating retaining bars on each side of each shackle.
The "monorail" system is the reason we call the product TRI-MAX. The internal bar not only strengthens the hold vertically and laterally, but inhibits a shim from entering the nose or the rear of the shackle. It also defeats a pick if it is engaged through the keyway. While it may be possible to pop the double lock, a pick cannot go completely through the handcuff to engage the rear retaining bars and depress them. Tri-Max maintains the integrity of 1. Nose of shackle 2. Rear of shackle. 3. Key hole. That's why we call it TRI-MAX Security!
Uses standard handcuff keys, 2 included.

An ingenious handcuff design , using standard cuff key. I highly recommend.
Well built, November 2, 2018 By Robert (Mount carmel, PA)(Verified)
I’ve been in law enforcement for 18 years and have used all types of cuffs. This is far better then my old peerless and S&W cuffs. Also I highly recommend the laser etching. It is very deep and won’t wear off like some companies do. If you are looking for a quality product I recommend these.
Best pair of standard cuffs on the market, February 18, 2018 By Anonymous (AR)
Hands-down the best pair of standard handcuffs on the market. Smith & Wesson, peerless, ASP, Hiatt and CTS are all well-made cuffs. As far as strength goes they are all pretty much the same, if there is any difference in strength it's not enough that it really matters. CTS Tri Max are the best because they are very pick and shim resistant. Hiatt are pick resistant but they are not shim resistant. Of course high security cuffs could very well be more secure but they don't take a standard key. Which again makes CTS Tri Max the best pair of standard handcuffs out there.
Excellent handcuffs, January 1, 2017 By Anonymous (AZ)
These are very good cuffs smooth double locking, cuffing and excellent quality materials ! Better than SW cuffs IMO. Just had some minor burrs left over from machining the teeth. Highly recommended !

These handcuffs are well made and the Tri Max Security is great. I have not found anyone who can pick them. These will be my standard cuffs from now on. Great price !

The product appears to be of good quality. Not very polished or shiny, but that's no big deal considering their use.
