These cuffs are so light that they feel fake, but they definitely do the job. They’re light enough that I forget they’re on my belt at times, even on 16+ hour shifts. Plus the customization is free - can’t beat it!

Intro: Carrying cuffs on your duty belt, plate carrier, or in a pocket may not seem like much compared to other things on your load-out, but any amount of weight over time amplifies into stress on your body. Uniformed: These cuffs are so light, as other reviews I read before purchase stated, they feel like a toy. In uniform I carry two, which means now I'm carrying two for the weight of one. It's a noticeable difference right away. Plain clothes: For plain clothes, these are great to throw in a pocket without consciously thinking about it all day and being reminded from the weight. Tactical: The finish is cerakote which is non reflective. Perfect for low light and low profile. Durability: The craftsmanship and uniformity of the cuffs is beautiful. The cerakote coating is even and smooth with no imperfections or indications of wear. I haven't had them long enough to withstand the test of time. I will say that with my experience of cerakote on firearms, it's pretty durable depending on severity of abuse. Do yourself a huge favor and oil them when you first get them. Peerless has a YouTube video for maintenance of their handcuffs if you aren't familiar with the important places to lubricate. I use gun oil, works fantastic. Whatever brand you use for your firearm will be just fine. Put some on the double lock pin, the top of the cuff around the rotary pin, and a drop in the key holes. I took a q-tip with oil and ran it along the tracks and rivets before cycling several times. Lock and unlock the double-locking mechanism several times just to work that oil in a bit. Wipe away any excess oil. The action is smooth as butter. If you made it this far, buy them, you will not be disappointed. They offer this model in different colors depending on your purpose or agency policy.
